A human Crime
A week for all stakeholders to share best practice.
Romance Fraud Awareness Week is a time to spotlight the progress we’ve made, whether in policing, banking, social media, dating platforms or support services. There is good work happening, and it matters. But true leadership also means knowing when to hold up a mirror. We must celebrate not just our wins, but our willingness to admit where we’ve fallen short, because that’s where real change begins. When we turn a blind eye, dodge accountability or protect reputations over people, we become complicit in someone else’s abuse. Acknowledgement isn’t weakness; it’s the start of doing better. And victims deserve nothing less.

Who We Serve
Shaping Outcomes for Everybody

Society
Awareness starts at home. From friends to families to neighbours, we all play a part in challenging shame, spotting red flags, and creating space for survivors to speak without judgment.

Public Sector
Romance fraud is a public issue with private consequences. We need police, healthcare, and frontline services to recognise the signs, respond with empathy, and protect victims like any other target of abuse and crime.

Private Sector
Platforms, banks, and tech companies are part of the problem, and the solution. It’s time for prevention to be built in, not bolted on. Together, we can shut down the systems that criminals exploit.
